Required Candidate Location: Hybrid/Midtown NYC 3 days a week NO RELOCATION

Job Description:

Lead a team delivering AI related software projects while staying 50% hands on with architecture, planning, and Python development. This role combines technical leadership with project and people management. GenAI experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services, APIs, and automation tools using Python on Azure (App Service, Storage, Azure SQL, Azure AI Foundry).
• Lead technical planning, solution design, and code quality practices (reviews, testing, CI/CD with Azure DevOps).
• Manage multiple AI aligned software projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality.
• Mentor developers and guide technical decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and run Agile/Scrum processes.
• Track delivery using Azure Board.

Requirements

• Strong hands on Python engineering background.
• Solid experience with Azure Cloud services and cloud native development.
• Proven ability to lead developers and deliver complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to GenAI tools (Azure OpenAI, LLM integrations).
• Azure or Agile certifications.
