Senior Python Developer

Senior Python Developer (Platform SDK & Tooling) We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer (Platform SDK & Tooling) to build and evolve core SDKs and developer tooling for a cloud-native platform. This role focuses on designing clean, reliable, and well-typed Python interfaces for interacting with platform services, with a strong emphasis on async programming, developer experience, and observability. You’ll work closely with cloud infrastructure and AI-related systems, enabling other engineers to build on top of the platform efficiently. Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best-in-class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions. As an Engineer, you will become a part of Core Architecture Team and be responsible for the architecture, implementation of best practices in our Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform. The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensuring a set of compliance and best practices. Project is in production for 2+ years, being supported by multiple teams. Technical domains AWS cloud, partially Azure SSO, Organizations, Service control policies, access models. IAAC: terraform enterprise, terratest, chalice Serverless: lambda, step functions, wide range of misc automations, fargate System, Application, Network and security architectures Orchecstration: k8s (eks) Hashicorp Vault Hybrid Networking Requirements Python 3.12+ (advanced async/await patterns) Pydantic v2 schema design and validation pytest / pytest-asyncio (unit and integration testing) OpenTelemetry instrumentation (ADOT) Experience 5+ years Python backend development Test-driven development and CI pipeline integration Will be a plus LangGraph or Strands Agents SDK (willing to learn on the job) hypothesis / property-based testing Responsibilities Design and develop Python SDKs and internal tooling for platform services Implement advanced async workflows using modern Python (3.12+) Build and maintain typed data models and validation layers using Pydantic v2 Integrate with AWS services (Secrets Manager, STS, S3) via boto3 Add and maintain OpenTelemetry instrumentation for SDKs and services Develop and maintain unit and integration tests (pytest, pytest-asyncio) Ensure clean packaging and dependency management (pyproject.toml, uv) Collaborate with platform teams to improve developer experience and API usability Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing strategy #J-18808-Ljbffr
