Our client is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to work at their company in Reston, VA.Position Summary: In this role, you’ll develop the next generation of assessments using leading technologies. You’ll work with innovative agile teams to develop automated testing and QA solutions and practices.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Build automated testing solutions using Javascript and PlaywrightCollaborate on software projects with product design and technical teamsCreate and execute testing strategies for back-end services, front-end applications, and infrastructureWork as a technical contributor on an Agile teamQualifications:BA/BS required (major in an analytical field desired)A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, test automation, or equivalent work experienceExperience creating QA strategy, identifying test scenarios, and implementing tests using QA automation toolsExperience working on Agile engineering teamsExperienced with Javascript, Cucumber, and either WebDriver IO or SeleniumExperienced with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.Experience developing testing strategies and identifying comprehensive test scenarios based on business requirementsAbility to mentor the development team on QA automation practices and modern testing strategiesAccountable and reliable, proactive communicator and problem solverStrong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilityAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environmentEthos of continuous improvement and interest in learning new thingsStrong ability to understand and internalize the big picture and broader implicationsExcellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work with a diverse set of colleagues across functions, from different organizations, disciplines, etc.Self-starter with ability to set priorities, work independently, and attain goals
