Job Summary Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a professional to support the expansion of AWS’s Data Center Network in the U.S. The role operates on both strategic and tactical levels, working directly with land owners, developers, and local jurisdictions to secure agreements that enable AWS to expand. Key Responsibilities Lead deal engagement, negotiation and closing of real estate sites, including build-to-suit negotiations and land acquisition. Cultivate relationships with developers. Assist in developing site plans that deliver best‑in‑class products consistent with market conditions while achieving investment assumptions. Partner with developers and local jurisdictions and participate in local meetings and hearings concerning projects. Work cross‑functionally with Design Engineering, Legal, Economic Development, Public Policy, Construction, and Capacity Planning teams to inform a regional real‑estate strategy. Build and lead teams of vendors and consultants to evaluate site feasibility. Travel required. Basic Qualifications 8+ years of experience in large‑scale site selection, real estate land acquisitions and lease negotiations. 5+ years experience performing the full range of land entitlement functions leveraging internal and external resources. 5+ years experience in site due diligence, site development, and negotiation of entitlement agreements for large complex projects. Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate or related fields. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of and experience in the data center industry, including data center site selection and general operations. Master’s Degree or higher (including JD) in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or related fields. Experience in public‑private partnerships. Ability to understand and communicate high‑level electrical, power, cooling, fiber‑optic, and other technical requirements related to internet infrastructure. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is USD 155,400.00–210,200.00 per year. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
