Senior Revenue Accounting Manager Our client, a leading biotech company, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team. Location South San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role, with in-office expectations 3 days per week. Job Description This is a pivotal role focused on establishing and maintaining best-in-class revenue recognition processes in a complex and rapidly evolving industry. The position offers significant visibility, leadership opportunities, and the chance to shape scalable processes in a high-growth environment. Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue accounting rules (ASC 606 and GAAP), ensuring accurate application across diverse business models. Review complex contracts and partnership agreements to determine proper revenue recognition treatment and disclosure requirements. Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SOX controls. Lead the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed flux analysis. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Billing, Collections, and IT teams to optimize processes and systems for scalability and compliance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on revenue recognition (ASC 606). Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements. Proven ability to manage complex close processes and deliver accurate reporting. Excellent communication skills to explain technical accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
