Senior Risk Manager – Corporate Auto Casualty and Litigation Claims, Logistics Claims Management Job ID: 10439928 | Services LLC The DSP (Delivery Service Partner) Offer & Expansion team is part of the Last Mile Product and Technology organization and is responsible for designing, launching, and managing the strategy of the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program around the world across all of its various use cases. Amazon’s Last Mile Claims team is seeking a talented claims professional to support our rapidly growing and evolving global auto program. You will lead strategy on complex bodily injury auto claims, handle pre‑litigation disputes and resolve litigated claims with cross‑functional partners, develop programs and tools to contain costs, and maintain successful third‑party administrator strategies and relationships. You will have a strong working knowledge of commercial auto insurance policies and experience with large transportation fleets. You will adjudicate both litigated and non‑litigated claims efficiently and cost‑effectively, build processes and strategies for new issues, and address risk while ensuring business‑centric solutions. Key Responsibilities Claims management of moderate to complex bodily injury and litigated claims. Work with business units to implement strategies to limit high‑value claims and contain costs. Develop strategy and action plans for claims with internal/external counsel, TPAs, and insurance companies. Mediation and settlement strategy and attendance with external legal partners, insurance companies, and TPAs. Field and address business partner questions through claims resolution. Partner with internal teams to proactively prevent claims through safety measures. Ensure the TPA manages claims diligently, partners with Risk Management and Legal, and employs best practices to control costs. Lead logistic complex claims management, develop and refine claims processes, and provide training. Direct claim reviews and ensure alignment with KPIs and Performance Guarantee. Report business metrics to internal teams, including logistics and Amazon’s captive insurance program. Partner and direct external vendors on innovative claims handling initiatives that support simplicity and contain costs while enhancing the customer experience. Communicate recommended risk mitigation strategies to cross‑functional and internal leadership teams. Manage and advise on worldwide corporate auto exposures, delivery service provider projects, and other logistics operations. Utilize and/or establish analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to evaluate loss trends. Provide guidance and support for loss prevention matters to foster a proactive risk management culture. Assist in developing business proposals and case studies for senior leaders. Work across teams to share ideas, influence change, and deliver project results. Basic Qualifications BA/BS degree from an accredited university. 7+ years of experience adjudicating complex, pre‑litigated, and litigated bodily injury claims. 5+ years experience in transportation claims management, including fleets or large auto claim programs. Active adjuster license. Knowledge of the litigation process and claims handling from inception to resolution. Reserve management and financial acumen; experience setting and managing reserves on high‑exposure claims. Preferred Qualifications ARM, CPCU, or similar professional designation. Strong understanding of commercial auto and general liability insurance policies. Experience interpreting policy language, coverage triggers, endorsements, and exclusions in commercial fleet environments. Robust understanding of the litigation process and claims handling. Experience with complex logistics claims, including independent contractor models and gig‑economy driver networks. Experience analyzing and interpreting claims and operational data to support strategic decision‑making.
