This role is focused on API automation, microservices, and backend testing.We are seeking a Senior SDET with 13+ years of experience, strong expertise in Java-based API automation, API development fundamentals, and hands-on testing of microservices in retail banking environments. Experience in Test Management and Test Strategy will be considered a strong advantage.What You’ll DoDesign, develop, and maintain API and microservices automation frameworks using Java.Test Java-based APIs, microservices, core banking services, payment flows, and backend systems.Validate end‑to‑end service interactions, system integrations, and customer journeys.Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Lead root cause analysis (RCA), participate in defect triage, and enhance overall quality governance.Collaborate with backend, payments, cloud, and product teams to ensure high‑quality releases.Contribute to and review Test Strategy, Test Planning, and Test Management activities. Must‑Have Skills13+ years of SDET / QA Automation experience.Strong programming skills in Java (mandatory).Hands-on experience with API automation using:REST AssuredPostman/NewmanKarate (optional but preferred)Experience in testing Java-based APIs and microservices.Strong understanding of:Service contractsMocking/stubbingJSON/XML validationAPI schema validationIntegration testing patternsSolid exposure to Retail Banking processes: accounts, cards, payments, onboarding, transactions.CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.Strong experience with Linux, log analysis, and debugging backend flows.Knowledge of API development fundamentals (endpoints, status codes, payload structures, auth).
