Position Overview Senior SharePoint Developer to support the Army G-2’s Data Capabilities Division (DCD), Intelligence and Automation Operations (IAO) at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities include designing, customizing, and maintaining SharePoint portals that synchronize intelligence content and ensure seamless data access for tactical units, joint forces, and coalition partners across multiple networks.
Key Responsibilities SharePoint Customization & Development: Design, build, and modify custom SharePoint applications, web parts, and advanced workflows to fully utilize platform capabilities.
Front‑End Integration: Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery to develop clean, intuitive user interfaces for high‑visibility portals and repositories.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) under an Agile/SCRUM framework, estimating effort and aligning development with mission priorities.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Execute rigorous testing protocols, including Unit, System, Functional, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and report software defects using a formal bug‑tracking system, collaborating closely with QA analysts and project managers.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior personnel regarding development best practices and procedural standards.
Basic Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 8 years of SharePoint Development (customized code, custom web parts, workflow generation).
Minimum of 5 years of experience navigating the SDLC via Agile, SCRUM, or Lean methodologies.
Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Minimum of 5 years of conducting Unit, System, Functional, and UAT testing.
Minimum of 5 years documenting software defects using bug‑tracking software.
Minimum of 5 years mentoring junior development personnel.
Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret / SCI with a Special Background Investigation (SBI) and eligibility to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
Technical Certification: Must possess a valid baseline DoD 8570.1‑M / DoDD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) upon onboarding.
