About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for our team in the financial services industry, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and will be instrumental in maintaining the reliability of our ecosystem. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate across engineering teams, drive continuous improvement, and facilitate the adoption of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reliability of both native and web ecosystems by contributing to change, incident, and problem management.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and fast restoration of essential services to prevent future outages.
  • Participate in a monthly 24x7 on-call rotation and take leadership of severe incidents to minimize impact.
  • Conduct post-mortems with engineering teams to drive continuous improvements.
  • Provide insights on trends of issues affecting reliability and participate in cross-functional projects to provide scalable solutions.
  • Review and advise on high-risk platform changes to minimize impact and maximize success for stakeholders.
  • Work within a large distributed system based on Cloud Native services.
  • Maintain an automation-centric vision and incorporate SRE methodologies to increase reliability and decrease toil.
  • Collaborate across engineering to facilitate the adoption of best practices.
  • Utilize skills in reporting, review, leadership, troubleshooting, database development, engineering, metric reporting, and communication to effectively perform duties.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Reporting and Review
  • Strong Leadership Skills with the ability to guide a team
  • Ability to Troubleshoot technical issues effectively
  • Experience in Database Development
  • Knowledge of Credit and Engineering practices in financial services
  • Proficiency in Metric Reporting
  • Excellent Communication Skills to liaise with Stakeholders
  • Experience with Python, Cloud Technologies, and Monitoring Tools
  • Understanding of Conductivity in the context of financial services
  • Familiarity with Best Practices in the industry
  • Experience in Web App development and Methodology
  • Ability to produce quality Deliverables in a timely manner
  • Experience in Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Go, AWS Technologies, and DevOps
  • Ability to Scale Out operations effectively.
