We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer excited to join the fast paced startup environment, and go the extra mile to succeed. This is not a typical 9-5 role, our engineers are excited for the massive upside potential of a seed-stage startup.

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the SalesDraft engineering team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building scalable, high-performing applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, Postgres, AI/ML, and AWS. You will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the SalesDraft platform, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Utilize AI tooling to constantly improve quality and speed of code delivered.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Build responsive, user-friendly frontend components with React and TypeScript.
• Design and implement scalable database schemas and queries in Postgres.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead out in initiative planning and implementation from start to finish.
• Leverage AWS services to build, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning to improve the codebase and architecture.

Requirements:

• Experience using AI coding tools, and a strong desire to better utilize these tools.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of Postgres, including schema design and query optimization.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance tuning.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications is a plus.
