Qualifications (Required) Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. 5 years of experience with network architectures, protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, etc.), and technologies, as well as concepts like scalability, fault tolerance, and consistency. 5 years of experience working in C++, Python, Go, or a similar language. 5 years of experience in data analysis, working with databases, and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce). Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures and algorithms. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects. Experience in developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact. Experience with Java or Go. Ability to resolve customer-related issues with excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this role, you will be a core member of the Google Cloud Interconnect (GCI) capacity planning and network optimization team, working closely with team leads and cross-functional partners to scale GCI capacity, design and implement data pipelines that forecast customer demand, match supply with demand, track network usage, and optimize global resource utilization. Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve systems that connect customer networks to Google Cloud. Work with different teams across Google to create and launch new products and features. Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and trends.
