Senior Software Engineer

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Rockville, MD Role requires an onsite interview and 3-days/week onsite work Required Skills: AWS Experience (5+ years) Core services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, API Gateway QuickSight for dashboards and data visualization CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray for monitoring and troubleshooting IAM, Security services, VPC networking Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) Programming & Development Strong in Python, Node.js, Go, or similar Java knowledge is a plus Experience with frontend applications (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus RESTful API design and microservices architecture CI/CD pipelines ( GitLab exposure preferred ) Databases Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora) Core Competencies: Problem Solving Strong solutioning mindset - architect solutions for complex business problems Root cause analysis expert - systematically identify and resolve issues Navigate AWS services to troubleshoot across distributed systems Analyze logs, metrics, and traces to diagnose problems Mindset & Approach Challenge the status quo - question existing approaches and propose improvements Not task-oriented - think strategically beyond immediate assignments Proactively identify inefficiencies and technical debt Drive innovation and continuous improvement Question assumptions and advocate for better solutions Technical Leadership Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions Code reviews and maintain standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams Document designs and troubleshooting guides Experience: 8-10+ years software development (Required) 5+ years AWS cloud platform experience (Required) Frontend application support/development experience is a plus Production incident response and on-call exposer Preferred: AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) Serverless architecture experience GitLab CI/CD pipelines Regulated industry experience is a plus ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
