U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Security Clearance Type: Secret - Current Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1 Role: Senior Software Engineer - Training Systems Software (Onsite) What You Will Do Design, develop, integrate, and test software on cross-functional agile teams to deliver solutions within budget, scope, and schedule constraints Act as a software development focal point with ownership and accountability for committed objectives Assist in analysis and decomposition of features Make and influence decisions impacting cost, schedule, and technical performance at a team level Perform multi-threaded software debugging Work independently with limited supervision Support bidding and proposal activities to acquire new business Contribute to software and systems engineering requirements capture and analysis Travel to domestic and international customer sites to support training events and product installations Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 3 years of experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date Extensive experience with C++ Experience with agile development practices and general software engineering design principles Qualifications We Prefer Excellent written and oral communication skills Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments Ability to lead and share knowledge with peers Experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile methodologies Experience with Win32/Win64 APIs and Linux APIs Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL) Strong object-oriented programming skills with C++ (STL, templates) Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) Experience using source control tools (SVN, GIT, etc.) Experience with ALM tools (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo) Previous simulation or avionics experience What We Offer Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance Vacation, retirement plan options with employer matching Tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment programs Life insurance, disability coverage, and voluntary benefit options Parental leave, fertility and family planning support Employee Assistance Program and wellness benefits Additional Information This role is a U.S.-based position.
