Description You will be the Senior Software Quality Engineer for the Software Quality Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining systems and software quality processes that align with AS9100, program, and customer requirements. Responsibilities As the Senior Software Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving software quality excellence across the IRST program. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Develop and apply quality principles to software and software‑based systems. Design and implement software development and maintenance processes. Define audit strategies and ensure compliance with systems/software processes. Design, specify, and conduct test methods for software inspection, verification, and validation. Evaluate and analyze software quality systems to identify and correct deficiencies. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM or higher (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent combined education/experience. Experience with product development phases. Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test. Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues ranging from basic to very complex. Desired Skills Familiar with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, Confluence) and Gitlab. Familiar with automated test system platforms (NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW, SystemLink). Basic understanding of electro‑mechanical engineering drawings and GD&T with the ability to inspect drawings for compliance. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration. Experience with presentation and problem solving skills. Experience with government customers. Strong knowledge of industry‑recognized quality systems/models such as CMMI, QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001). Experience with verification and validation processes. Experience with different program phases (development, production, sustainment). Knowledge of corrective action boards and root cause analysis. Experience with SAP software and DELMIA Apriso. Handling and dispositioning of nonconformances. Lab/test equipment hardware knowledge or background skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques. Ability to interpret software design and code (C/C++) to verify implementation of requirements. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. A government security clearance at the Secret level is required. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is needed to start. Location Orlando, Florida.
