Comp range for a CPA in the Senior Staff category = $72-92k. This is for a salary with an hour range of 2,225 hours. PTO, Holidays, etc. are backed off from those hours
If they are non-CPAs, the pay scale is different. Non-CPA Senior Staff pay range is $52,000-68,000. The main reason for the difference is the amount I can bill the clients for their time.
Skill set
- We're more of a tax firm than an A&A firm so preference would be towards tax
- We use Thomson Reuters products so familiarity with that would be preferred but if someone uses CCH, it's trainable.
- Ideally they live near one of our offices on the lakeshore (Holland, Grand Haven, or South Haven) as we realize that the Grand Rapids market is bigger and the pay is different over there
