Senior Staff Accountant - Real Estate Development - Base Salary to 95k/year - Davidson, NC Our client is a well-established and growing real estate development company seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in the Davidson, NC area. This is a hands‑on accounting role supporting multiple legal entities within a growing real estate organization. The position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, working primarily remotely with onsite meetings in Davidson several times per month based on business needs. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys full‑cycle accounting, multi‑entity financial management, and working closely with a collaborative, lean accounting team where individual contributions have a direct impact on company operations. Responsibilities Perform full‑cycle accounting for multiple legal entities. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate journal entries and accruals. Lead financial coding and general ledger oversight across multiple entities. Review entity financial activity for proper coding, allocations, and documentation. Manage intercompany accounting, including Due To/Due From transactions and intercompany loan activity. Reconcile intercompany balances on a monthly basis. Ensure proper allocation of shared expenses and cash movement between entities. Review payroll journal entries for accuracy. Review accounts payable submissions and vendor invoices for appropriate coding and timely processing. Perform bank register maintenance and reconciliations. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies. Support accounting process improvements and internal controls. Provide accounting guidance, training, and troubleshooting assistance to team members. Prepare financial information and communicate accounting results to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience within real estate development, construction, or property management . Experience performing full‑cycle accounting for multiple entities simultaneously . Experience with multi‑entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, intercompany loans, and Due To/Due From accounting. Experience preparing and reviewing accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity. Strong experience with financial coding and general ledger allocations. Experience reviewing payroll accounting entries. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Intuit Enterprise Suite, NetSuite, Sage, Expensify, or similar ERP/accounting systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in an evolving business environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. Demonstrated history of dependable attendance, accountability, and consistent follow‑through. Compensation Base salary: $95,000 per year Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company match. Paid Time Off.
