The Role 
We're seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who excels at both tax preparation and accounting work. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong client communication skills, ready to take ownership of client relationships and deliver exceptional service. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse tax scenarios while growing professionally in a collaborative environment. The position will initially be in-person full-time at our Princeton, NJ office, with the option to transition to a hybrid work arrangement once you're fully established in the role. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare individual and business tax returns with minimal supervision 

• Perform comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting work 

• Communicate proactively with clients about financial statements and tax matters 

• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and take initiative on client issues 

• Review work of junior staff members 

• Utilize Canopy, QuickBooks Desktop & Online, and Microsoft Teams 

• Assist with client onboarding and organized record-keeping 

Requirements

Essential Requirements 

• 3-5 years tax accounting experience in public accounting or small firm setting 

• Strong ability to handle both tax preparation and accounting/bookkeeping functions 

• Excellent client communication skills, particularly regarding financial statement discussions 

• Proactive, problem-solving mindset 

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online 

• Strong organizational skills 

• CPA candidate or working toward professional certification preferred
