About the Company
Xpanner North America is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to support and take ownership of key accounting functions. This role will work closely with finance, operations, and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong documentation, and audit readiness.
This position is expected to operate with a high level of independence and manage multiple areas of accounting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Perform and review account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Lead key portions of the month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, and maintaining close schedules
- Manage cash activity, including bank and credit card reconciliations, monitoring cash balances, and supporting cash flow planning
- Oversee inventory accounting, including inventory transactions and adjustments, reconciliation between subledger and general ledger, investigation of inventory discrepancies with operations and warehouse teams, and ensuring proper cost capitalization
- Support sales tax processes, including preparing supporting data, reconciling sales tax accounts, and coordinating with external advisors for filings
- Serve as a key contact for external audit support, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Ensure accurate and consistent use of NetSuite ERP, including proper transaction coding and data integrity
- Maintain vendor documentation, including W-9 and 1099 compliance
- Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, sales, and management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with full-cycle accounting
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with inventory accounting, including: inventory transactions, adjustments and reconciliations, and understanding of inventory flow and costing
- Experience supporting external audits and preparing schedules
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, equipment, or manufacturing-related industries
- Experience working in a startup or fast-growing environment
- Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus, but not required
