ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Structural Engineer (Department Head) will serve as a key leader within the structural engineering department, overseeing project development from concept to construction completion. As a department head, you will play a crucial role in interfacing with clients, managing project timelines, and driving successful project outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and mentor department staff, fostering both technical expertise and career growth.
  • Oversee all phases of structural engineering projects, from initial concept through construction completion.
  • Interface directly with clients to understand project needs and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure quality and technical standards are met throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive project outcomes.
  • Manage project schedules, team assignments, and budgetary guidelines to meet client expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 15+ years of experience within an architecture/engineering (A/E) environment, with demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong technical expertise in structural engineering, complemented by knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading projects of varying sizes and complexity
