Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead and manage structural repair and building envelope projects, including facades, balconies, parking garages, roofing, and waterproofing systems. Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluation and Investigation:
• Plan and conduct evaluations of structural and building envelope systems.
• Perform field surveys, document findings, and oversee sampling/testing efforts.
2. Repair Design:
• Develop repair designs, including specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations based on data.
3. Client and Team Interaction:
• Prepare proposals and foster strong relationships with clients and property managers.
• Communicate directly with contractors and clients to address technical and administrative concerns.
4. Project Oversight:
• Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and progress meetings.
• Provide field observations and technical support during construction phases.
5. Mentorship and Marketing:
• Train and mentor junior staff and review their work.
• Represent the company at events and contribute to marketing initiatives, such as presentations and articles.

Requirements

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Licensure: Registered P.E. with eligibility to obtain licenses in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. EIT candidates nearing P.E. eligibility are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience: 5–20 years of experience in designing, evaluating, and repairing commercial buildings, exterior enclosures, roofs, parking garages, and waterproofing systems.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in MATLAB, SIMULINK, Etabs, Safe, SAP 2000, AutoCAD, Ansys, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills for creating proposals, reports, and maintaining client relationships.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality deliverables.
