About the job:

The Senior Sustaining Engineer is responsible for maintaining, improving, and extending the lifecycle of released products by resolving complex issues, driving design improvements, and ensuring reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness.


We’re looking for someone who:

● Holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

● Has 8+ years of engineering experience, including sustaining or lifecycle support of complex products

● Brings strong experience with electro-mechanical and high-reliability systems

● Is highly skilled in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action implementation

● Works effectively across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams

● Is proficient with ECO processes, engineering documentation, and PLM/ERP systems

● Communicates clearly and can lead technical discussions

● (Preferred) Has experience in semiconductor capital equipment or high-tech manufacturing

● (Preferred) Is familiar with ISO, customer audits, and regulatory quality systems

● (Preferred) Has experience supporting products through long lifecycle and end-of-life transitions

● (Preferred) Has prior mentoring or technical leadership experience


What you’ll do:

● Own sustaining engineering activities for released products, including issue resolution and enhancements

● Serve as the technical escalation point for complex manufacturing, field, and customer issues

● Perform root cause and failure analysis and implement CAPA actions

● Lead reliability improvement initiatives

● Develop and review ECOs, deviations, and product documentation updates

● Ensure accuracy of drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions

● Support manufacturing improvements, yield optimization, and test effectiveness

● Partner with supply chain on supplier qualification, obsolescence mitigation, and cost-reduction initiatives

● Collaborate with Quality, Customer Support, Applications, and NPI teams

● Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement
