Job Description

About the Role

PNF Accountants and Advisors is a full-service accounting firm with offices in East Brunswick, NJ and Boca Raton, FL. We serve a growing client base of business owners, high-net-worth individuals, real estate investors, and multi-entity groups across multi states. Our work is complex, hands-on, and client-driven — no two engagements look the same.

We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager / Director who wants to be a trusted advisor, not just a reviewer. In this role, you will lead complex tax engagements, own key client relationships, and help shape the strategic direction of our tax practice. You will also mentor our rising team and play an active role in firm growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead Compliance

•       Oversee complex federal and multi-state filings for C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Trusts, and HNWIs across multi states.

Strategic Advisory

•       Provide high-level planning on entity structuring, M&A tax implications, business reorganizations, and real estate transactions.

International Tax

•       Handle cross-border matters including FBAR, FIRPTA, foreign entity compliance, and Forms 5471/5472 for applicable clients.

Client Relationship Management

•       Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, translating complex tax law into clear, actionable strategies.

Team Leadership

•       Mentor and develop a talented team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Firm Growth & Innovation

•       Identify opportunities to expand services, participate in business development, and contribute to the firm’s ongoing AI and workflow modernization initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

•       Experience: 8–12+ years in public accounting with a focus on U.S. tax compliance and planning.

•       Credentials: Active CPA or EA License (Required).

•       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s in Taxation is a strong plus.

•       Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Lacerte, CCH, or Thomson Reuters.

•       International Experience: Familiarity with cross-border tax matters is a plus.

•       Leadership: Proven track record managing multiple engagements and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Why Join PNF?

We are a boutique firm that punches above our weight. You will have direct access to firm leadership, real influence over how engagements are run, and exposure to a diverse, sophisticated client base. This is not a corporate environment where you are a cog in the machine — your expertise will be visible and valued from day one.

•       Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000+, based on experience and performance.

•       Health Benefits: Comprehensive health care options.

•       Retirement: 401(k) program.

•       Time Off: Generous PTO including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

•       Work Arrangements: Hybrid flexibility, with consideration for busy season demands.

•       Busy Season: Paid overtime or time-off-in-lieu during peak tax periods.

•       Licensing Support: CPA exam reimbursement and study resources.

•       CPE: Continuing education support to maintain licensure.

•       Career Path: Clear progression with mentorship from experienced professionals.

•       Client Exposure: Diverse client base across real estate, professional services, multi-entity groups, and international matters.

•       Culture: Collaborative, team-oriented environment grounded in professionalism and integrity.
