We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and manage complex technical projects from initiation through completion. This role will oversee large-scale technology initiatives, including the implementation and integration of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), software solutions, and traffic management projects supporting government agencies. Job Type Full-time Duties / Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale or high-impact projects from a technical perspective. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and manage detailed technical project plans, resource allocation, and performance tracking metrics. Proactively identify technical risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies. Communicate project progress, issues, and results to senior leadership, stakeholders, and customers. Manage and motivate project team members, fostering collaboration and accountability. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with others within the department and other departments as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required. Master’s degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive technical project management experience, including leading large complex projects or multiple concurrent initiatives. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation technology, or government infrastructure experience preferred. Must have excellent computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Must maintain highest level of professionalism under pressure. Ability to work in a high-paced environment and be flexible to handle multiple tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to interact with customers and all levels of personnel in a professional manner. Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States to support projects. Physical Conditions / Requirements No unusual physical requirements. It requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is done in a comfortable indoor facility. Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor. Job frequently requires sitting and handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Hearing requirements: Ability to hear people over the telephone and in person. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
