Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Windows Server System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise Windows server infrastructure.

This role requires deep technical expertise in Windows Server technologies and a proven track record of managing complex enterprise environments.

Core Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy

Lead the planning and execution of server upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities

Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware) and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS)

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions

Monitor system performance and capacity planning

Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures

Provide escalated technical support and troubleshooting

Mentor junior system administrators and provide technical guidance

Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support

Skills:

7 years Experience administering Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)

7 years Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP

7 years Strong experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V and/or VMware)

7 years Proven experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions

7 years Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation

7 years Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)

7 years Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization

7 years Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

7 years Knowledge of configuration management tools (SCCM, Ansible)

16+ yrs. preparing complex technical documentation

16+ yrs. conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA, or newer role-based certifications)
