Marine Service AdvisorGoodhue Boat Company is growing, and we are looking for smart, motivated, and dedicated people to join the team! Our Ossipee Lake marina has an immediate opening for Full-Time and Seasonal Part-Time Marine Service Advisor.Our service department specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats. As a Marine Service Advisor for our company, you will ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service.Marine Service Advisors will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats.Duties/Responsibilities:Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all the information necessary to create an accurate estimate.Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer's needs.Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.Communicate with technicians to inform customers of the best remedies to properly repair their vessel.Locate, order, and input parts for customer units based on technicians' notes and diagnosis.Finalize and invoice work orders.Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.Follow up after work is complete.Other duties as needed.Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience, preferredExcellent customer service and phone skills are a must.Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Problem solving skills.Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.Intermediate computer skills.Qualifications:Valid driver's licenseValid boater's licensePhysical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to work in various weather conditions.Education:Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.Salary:$18-$22 per hour.
