Service Advisor - Matt Bowers Hyundai (Slidell, LA)
Own the drive. As the liaison between our guests and our technicians, you'll set the tone for a Hyundai-level experience-greeting, diagnosing, selling maintenance and repairs with confidence, and closing every RO cleanly and on time. We're building a top-tier fixed ops team and need a strong, customer-obsessed closer who thrives in a high-traffic shop.
What You'll Do-
Be the first impression: Welcome every customer, capture concerns precisely, verify contact/insurance info, and set accurate expectations for timeline and cost.

Write accurate repair orders: Road test when needed, perform walkarounds, document symptoms with clarity, and translate customer concerns into tech-ready stories.

Consult and sell ethically: Use factory menus and multi-point inspections to present maintenance/repair options, warranties, and cost-saving alternatives; gain approvals and upsell value (Hyundai Genuine parts, protection plans).

Own the clock: Build/monitor the day's dispatch, keep promises on ETAs, and communicate proactively about supplements or parts delays.

Partner with technicians: Clarify concerns, authorize tests, and follow up on DTCs/TSBs; ensure notes are complete and recommendations are transparent.

Close the loop: Review all work performed, explain charges line-by-line, take payment, schedule the next interval, and deliver vehicles with five-star hospitality.

Protect the brand: Handle complaints with empathy and tact; escalate smartly while staying within policy and maintaining CSI excellence.

Keep the lane tight: Maintain an orderly service drive, signage, and waiting areas aligned to current promotions.

Associate's degree in mechanics or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience welcomed.

Automotive service/retail experience and a strong understanding of automotive technology.

Proficiency with service lane/RO software and DMS/CRM tools.

Elite customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills-verbal and written.

Organized, decisive, and calm under pressure; able to coordinate techs, parts, and customers simultaneously.

Team player who can communicate clearly with technicians, customers, and management.

Valid driver's license with a clean record.
