Service Support Manager Apply
Service Support Manager Summary Manage daily operations of the service support team, including fleet compliance, parts procurement, safety coordination, and customer damage processes. Report directly to the PCM and provide oversight for the Parts Manager and Administrative Assistant. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain fleet files and ensure DOT compliance for both rental and non‑rental fleets. Schedule PM and DOT inspections for all fleet vehicles. Perform safety coordinator responsibilities related to the DOT fleet. Manage the Parts Manager, approving parts purchasing and ordering. Conduct driver reviews (DOS) monthly. Lead warranty recovery and closed work order reviews to capture warranty opportunities. Catalog warranty parts for manufacturer validation. Maintain compliance with manufacturer‑issued service bulletins. Oversee the customer damage process, including preparation and distribution of damage letters and documentation. Direct parts supply to shop mechanics, other branches, and customers. Screens and prioritizes service calls to meet customer needs. Collaborate with equipment vendors to understand maintenance requirements and equipment capabilities. Train shop foremen on new equipment and coordinate factory training and technical diagnosis. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of AWP equipment. Knowledge of work planning, scheduling, and supervisory activities. Strong understanding of equipment capabilities, safety requirements, and maintenance issues. Planning, management, computer literacy, and reporting experience. Warranty management and inventory/parts management experience. Physical Demands Require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, with work performed indoors and outdoors as needed.
