This on-site role at White Sands Missile Range, NM provides hands-on technical support for complex mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to mission-critical programs while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.
Schedule: 4/10, 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM 4:45 PM
Location: On-site at White Sands Missile Range, NM, Reliable transportation is required, Safety shoes are mandatory for this position
Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance
Note: The selected candidate will be exposed to and may handle explosives as part of this role
Job Description
- The Field Technician is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment and systems.
- This role provides hands-on maintenance and technical support for equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and associated software at customer and/or field locations.
- The technician will analyze and evaluate product performance, troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to resolve issues efficiently, and perform installations, upgrades, and removals in coordination with approved engineering field changes. Strong customer communication and professional working relationships are essential.
- This on-site Field Technician position is located at White Sands Missile Range, NM, supporting all products manufactured by MFC, including PAC-3, GMLRS, PrSM, and ATACMS programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to minimize downtime
- Support integrated systems, subsystems, and related software
- Execute equipment upgrades and removals in accordance with engineering change requirements
- Analyze equipment performance and document findings
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety requirements
- Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams
Basic / Mandatory Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree not required)
- Technician with prior hands-on experience
- Experience in mechanical assembly of aerospace systems
- Experience using electrical test equipment
- Familiarity with standard operating and test procedures
- Experience working with critical mechanical and/or electrical test equipment
- Experience handling explosives is a plus.
