Location: Roseville, CA, US
Job Type: Permanent, Onsite
Salary: USD As per Exp. + 10% annual bonus target + sign-on bonus

Position Overview

The Service Unit Department Manager, RN will oversee a large unit or multiple units providing ambulatory services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care that complies with local, state, and federal regulations. This role is key in driving clinical practice excellence, budget management, staff development, and operational efficiency in alignment with Client's mission of delivering seamless, high-value care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership:
    Manage operations of one or more large units, ensuring compliance with Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaboration & Advocacy:
    Partner with physicians and healthcare providers to uphold and exceed patient care standards. Act as a patient advocate, addressing and resolving care-related concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Design, implement, and assess processes to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery systems.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Develop and monitor budgets, resource allocations, and financial performance; implement strategies to optimize costs and care quality.
  • Human Resource Management:
    Oversee recruitment, training, competency development, and ongoing staff education. Address labor relations, safety, and risk management issues effectively.
  • Policy Development:
    Establish and enforce departmental policies in collaboration with Physician Team Leaders and Department Chiefs.
Minimum Qualifications Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Experience:

    • Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience in management/leadership roles.
    • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience.
    • Oncology or infusion floor experience.
  • Education:

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a health-related field OR four (4) years of related experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    • Active Registered Nurse License (California).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an outpatient care setting.
  • Master's degree in nursing or health-related field.
  • Clinical specialization in the area of practice.
