Job Description

Alcor Solutions is seeking an experienced ServiceNow System Administrator to support the day-to-day configuration, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, a solid understanding of ITSM processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet both business and technical requirements.


This is a hybrid role, requiring travel to the Watsonville office three days per week.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including user and group management, roles and permissions, and data integrity.
  • Configure and customize core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Request, and Service Catalog.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and regular health checks to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations between ServiceNow and other business systems.
  • Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies/actions, notifications, and catalog items.
  • Create and manage reports, dashboards, and performance analytics to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with ServiceNow development and platform best practices and governance.
  • Support UAT, deployment activities, and post-deployment validations.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations and customizations.

Required Qualifications:


  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
  • 3–5 years of ServiceNow administration experience in a professional IT environment.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and experience supporting ITSM modules.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and ServiceNow platform tools (e.g., Flow Designer, ACLs, Import Sets, Transform Maps).
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and release management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, HRSD, or ITOM Fundamentals).
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Exposure to additional modules such as CSM, GRC, or HAM/SAM.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
