Role: Fabrication Manager

Salary: 105k 120k

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the fabrication team to achieve high standards in quality, productivity, and safety.
• Develop and manage productivity tracking systems and efficiency metrics for the department.
• Oversee training programs and certification processes, including for the operation of automated robotic welding and beam-cutting systems.
• Coordinate production schedules, maintain process quality, ensure adherence to efficiency standards, and oversee budget management, inventory, and data reporting.
• Collaborate with field supervisors and senior leadership to prioritize fabrication needs across multiple locations.
• Review and approve fabrication orders and invoices from external vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fabricated products.
• Optimize order distribution across locations to maximize output and delivery efficiency.
• Track and manage excess materials, quality control issues, and performance metrics across fabrication sites.
• Oversee staffing, training, development, and performance reviews for the fabrication team, including administering corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and assist with capital equipment purchases and implementation.
• Ensure the department maintains an adequate supply of tools and materials, along with proper equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
• This position reports directly to senior leadership.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Proven experience in managing fabrication operations using ERP systems, with a strong track record of ERP implementation.
• Ability to train and manage teams on ERP systems within a set time frame.
• Experience in tracking welding and fabrication efficiency, including time studies and performance metrics for processes such as welding, fitting, cutting, and spraying.
• Strong background in managing and developing quality control processes for fabrication production.
