Sf Project Manager Steel Fabrication Erection Apply
This role involves ensuring that project goals align with customer expectations, contractual agreements, and resource constraints while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to senior leadership, including the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage schedules of values for billing purposes.
- Handle monthly project billings, including preparation and submission.
- Negotiate change orders, proposals, and project deductions as necessary.
- Maintain and update "As Built" drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct work-in-progress (WIP) analyses and present findings to division management.
- Draft, review, and execute contracts, purchase orders, professional service agreements, and subcontracts.
- Prepare and coordinate project submittals, including reviewing and checking drawings.
- Create comprehensive schedules covering all project phases, from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee and coordinate the fabrication and erection of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, joists, and metal decking.
- Collaborate with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure smooth project progression.
- Interpret specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements, quantities, and dimensions.
- Communicate with trade contractors to coordinate schedules, resolve design conflicts, and manage material deliveries.
- Integrate steel packages with other trades using the BIM process, including clash detection.
- Enforce safety, quality, and cost control standards throughout the project.
- Address subcontractor performance issues by issuing corrective action notices as needed.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including correspondence, meeting notes, and other records.
- Organize and store important documents in hard copy and digital formats.
Tools and Technology Proficiency:
- Competence in field measurement tools and equipment, such as transits, laser levels, and torque guns.
- Familiarity with welding and gas-supplied equipment, rigging, and associated components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Experience with scheduling software like Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.
- Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol software is a plus, but not mandatory.
