Job Title: Shop Manager

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Position Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Shop Manager to become an integral part of our company. The Shop Manager will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operations at our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in metal fabrication, exceptional leadership abilities, and a dedication to upholding the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to meet project deadlines.

Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce and uphold stringent quality control measures to guarantee the superior standards of fabrication and installation.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance product quality.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to production personnel, cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring sufficient supplies for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to optimize material sourcing and cost-effectiveness.

Safety Compliance:

  • Promote and enforce a safety-centric culture within the fabrication facility.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and coordination between departments.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and address any arising issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, focusing on carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel products.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a fabrication facility.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
