Please Note: This position is a hybrid position with the ability to work up to 4 days a week remotely.

Washington County's Information Technology Services Department
is excited to welcome a new member to the Enterprise Systems Team in the role of SharePoint Administrator. This unique position supports the County's robust Microsoft 365 (M365) SharePoint environment currently in use throughout multiple departments and divisions of the County. As a member of the Enterprise Systems team, you'll work directly with key users and information technology colleagues to assist and lead design, configuration, content migration, and security assignment for the county's current and future sites. Your experience in M365 will be a key asset as the county continues expansion of SharePoint and no-code and low-code tools. Consultation with and best-practice implementation will be an important and visible component of this role.

The Opportunity:
The SharePoint Administrator is the primary technical resource focused on the County's SharePoint deployment. The successful candidate will engage directly with both key users and technical staff, using tools and techniques to securely configure and manage the county's SharePoint environment. Duties of the position include maintenance of current sites, migration of content to new sites, training and assisting designers, implementation of new features and designs, documentation of procedures, and participation in SharePoint project meetings. Specialized knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment and the County's tenant are used on a daily basis.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive and specific experience managing a M365 deployment of SharePoint. On-premises SharePoint experience is not applicable to this position. In this technical position, it is expected that they will have expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and XML for use in the M365 environment. The ideal candidate will possess specific technical understanding of the security infrastructure of an M365 tenant, and a clear understanding that it forms the basis for securing sites and ensuring data is only \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"shared to a point\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". They may also possess relevant certifications that may be helpful in this role, but not required: Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPEREIENCE:

  • A high school diploma AND seven (7) years of professional experience in either Website development, Website systems administration or Website design. OR
  • Associate degree in computer science or related field AND five (5) years of professional experience in either Website development, Website systems administration or Website design. OR
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in either Website development, Website systems administration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Microsoft 365 Certified Teams Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
