To provide architectural and functional design of new web technology solutions, improving quality, stability and performance of existing solutions. To provide technical expertise and develop web technology solutions as well as integration between different applications, where needed. As SharePoint developer, this role is responsible for custom feature development, first line of support, administration, user education, and security. SharePoint developer is responsible for day‑to‑day development, understanding the site’s purpose and requirement, and managing the customisation and content hosted on SharePoint or SharePoint Online and helping expedite user adoption within an organization. Other basic tasks include: Creating and configuring new sites Creating and configuring lists, document libraries and forms Customisation of automation and system integration Key Result Areas / Responsibilities Designing, developing, testing and implementing enterprise web technology solutions. This includes out‑of‑the‑box functionality and custom code programming when needed. Collaborating with customers and business analysts to design SharePoint solutions that satisfy business requirements. Leads the development and lifecycle evolution of standards, guidelines and principles while ensuring best practices and standards. Business process understanding and participation in business requirement sessions and translate it into a usable application that meets user needs and expectations. Provide technical solutions for CR (Change Request) raised by users. Maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents. Responsible for estimating work content and achieving planned timelines. Provide regular updates to Team Lead or Head of Department. Making technical recommendations in performance improvements and availability such as redundancy architecture and load balancing. Reviewing system resources, including ULS and Windows logs, for SharePoint systems health concerns. Monitoring permissions and audit logs for governance violations. Developing and implementing critical SharePoint collaboration solutions and sites. Troubleshooting SharePoint application issues. Job Specification Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Related Experience 3-6 years’ experience in C#/.NET customisation and development with SharePoint and SharePoint Online experience. Competencies (Behavioural) Creative thinking & innovation – knows when a new approach may be required. Communicating effectively – discusses and presents ideas logically, clearly using facts and appropriate supporting materials. Teamwork & collaboration – works harmoniously as a member of a team, sharing knowledge, and information and keeps team members informed and updated about the work of the group.
