Sheet Metal Fabricator Apply
Sheet Metal Fabricator - Must have knowledge and ability to measure, cut, bend, crimp, weld, and assemble sheet metal assemblies from instruction and fabrication drawings. Knowledge and use of machinery is a plus.
Our sheet metal fabricators are responsible for creating various metal products. Here are some common job responsibilities:
- Reading Blueprints: Interpreting blueprints, drawings and schematics to understand the project requirements.
- Measuring and Marking: Precisely measuring and marking sheet metal to ensure accurate cuts and shapes.
- Cutting and Shaping: Using specialized tools to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal into the desired forms.
- Welding and Joining: Welding, bolting, brazing, soldering and riveting pieces of sheet metal together to create the final product.
- Finishing: Trimming, buffing, smoothing, and grinding metal surfaces to ensure a seamless and safe finish.
- Maintaining Tools and Equipment: Operating and maintaining various hand and power tools, as well as motorized machinery.
- Ensuring Safety: Following safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
All inside shop work.
Have own transportation to get to and from work.
Able to duplicate and execute instruction.
Be familiar with hand and power tools and machinery.
