The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing all production, safety, quality, and personnel activities during assigned shift.

Shift Hours: 5:00am to 5:50pm

Our Client is a leading food manufacturing company committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the overall production and operations of the processing plant.
  • Fill in for Plant Manager in his absence.
  • Ensure food safety/security throughout the processing plant.
  • Develop and maintain a positive government regulatory work environment and relationship.
  • Lead and develop continuous improvement programs.
  • Work closely with quality assurance and maintenance in any changing of product specification or machinery change/repair.
  • Ensure that all product produced is of the highest level and standard of quality.
  • Performs various special tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager and the Corporate Director of Processing.
  • Comply with all written corporate safety and plant policies.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Identify and report any suspicious situations to the plant manager. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Operations, Animal Science, Food Science, or related field).
  • 3+ years of prior supervisory experience in a poultry or food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of poultry processing operations, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with production reporting systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on the production floor for extended periods.
  • Exposure to cold, wet, noisy, and industrial processing environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
