Prescott's, Inc. is a premier medical device company dedicated to the distribution and refurbishment of multiple types of medical devices including surgical microscopes, pumps, monitors, sterilizers and anesthesia machines and refurbishment of surgical microscopes. We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join their team. As a Shipping Associate at Prescott's, Inc, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products to customers. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying orders, and coordinating with carriers for efficient delivery. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of the shipping department and the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documents, shipping labels, and custom forms.
• Verify accuracy of orders and ensure that items are properly packaged and labeled.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Use basic math skills to verify shipment quantities and quality.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment and shipment preparation.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
• Assist with other administrative tasks related to shipping and logistics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 0-2+ years of experience in a shipping or logistics role.
• Familiarity with picking and packing, and order picking processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 40 pounds.
• Standing and sitting at a desk will be required.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
