The Journey: Order Fulfillment : Review and verify orders for accuracy; Pick, pack, and prepare goods for shipment. Shipping Documentation : Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, etc.). Follow set SOPs for shipping processes. Inventory Control : Assist with inventory management, and ensure items are stored correctly before they are shipped. Shipping Coordination : Communicate with carriers and shipping companies to arrange for pickup and timely delivery; Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all shipments are dispatched on time and responsible for dock appointment scheduling/data entry. Inspection and Quality Control : Inspect products for damages before shipping; Ensure that products are packaged securely to prevent damage during transport. Record Keeping and Data Entry : Enter shipping details into the system to maintain accurate records; Track orders and shipments, resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise. Customer Service : Address and resolve any shipping-related inquiries from customers or internal departments. Safety Compliance : Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely when necessary. Efficiency and Optimization : Work with other team members to improve shipping processes and reduce errors. The Requirements: 2-4 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, or distribution centers Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in shipping documents, labels, and product quantities. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset Familiarity with ERP systems for order management systems, and common shipping carriers Physical Stamina and Ability to Lift Experience with inventory management, picking and packing processes, and warehouse layout. Computer proficiency: Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, and data entry. This isn’t a job for someone seeking an easy ride.
