Shipping ClerkThe Shipping Clerk's role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our products to our customers on time and maintaining constant communication with Customer Service, Sales, Production, and Management related to such shipments.Responsibilities:Ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers throughout the USA, using LTL, FTL and flat-bed carriers on approved vendor list.Call carriers to schedule shipments, meeting ship datesPrepare accurate bills of lading and packing slips.Communicate with internal teams in various facilities related to transfers, material needs, and inventory levelsMaintain relationships with freight carriers in order to support our logistics needs with respect to shipping our product to our customers all over the USContact and negotiate with carriers to obtain quotes and services.Communicate frequently with customer service and planning department regarding shipping dates and status of orders.Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity tariff and customs regulationsManage in SAP all information related to transportation as quotes, carrier information, etc.Resolve all issues related with transportation and carriersOther duties as neededQualifications:At least 1 year of related experience working in a shipping or transportation function for a manufacturerBilingual in both English and Spanish requiredPrevious experience working with a major ERP such as SAP. Previous exposure to working with a WMS software is preferred. At least intermediate level MS Excel (pivot tables, v look-up, create formulae, etc.)High level of integrity and reliabilityProfessional communication skills and customer-focused approach to work.Ability and desire to work on-site in office 100% of the time, without hybrid/remote option. Ability and desire to come early and stay late until the job is done.Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
