The shipping clerk is responsible for shipping parts to customers domestically and internationally, overseeing inbound and outbound packages for transportation. As a shipping coordinator, your job duties include communicating with shippers to provide rates, managing large quantities of packages, and assisting with various routing tasks. The Shipping Coordinator is the communication liaison between Customer Support and The Shipping department and will work closely with the Inventory team.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. See more occupations related to this task.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
• Pull, package and ship orders.
• Run Ship Manager for Fed-Ex, UPS Worldwide, among others for both international and domestic shipments.
• Use a point of sale system and understand the sales order process.
• Order and maintain stock of shipping materials such as boxes, packaging paper and tape.
• Send daily order confirmations via Outlook.
Requirements
***This is an On-site, not a Remote job.***
Qualifications / Experience:
• Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in a business supporting hard goods manufacturing.
• Experience with Fed-Ex Ship Manager, UPS Worldwide, Unishippers (LTL), DHL, domestic and international shipping.
• Experience with an ERP System; Mas90 preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an eight hour shift
• Must be skilled in operation of computers and capable of using look up functions, entering order details and tracking orders.
• A general understanding of mechanics is desirable.
• Excellent organization and proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated with abilities to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Must be fluent in English, ability to speak other languages a plus.

Other Important Information:
Supervisory Responsibility - This position does no have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment - This job operates in a warehouse like environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel – May be asked to travel from time to time.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications – Must pass a background check and drug test.
