Starting base hourly: $35-40
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shop Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in cabinet making, demonstrate excellent leadership skills, and have the ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled craftsmen.
Responsibilities
Execute job setups and teardowns efficiently.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Ensure proper maintenance of all tools and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
Implement and manage processes to increase operational efficiency.
Manage, schedule, and supervise a team of builders and operators.
Coordinate with design and sales teams to ensure accurate execution of custom designs.
Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Train and mentor new employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar role in the cabinet making and or woodworking industries
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge of cabinet making techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
