Joby Aviation Shop Inventory ManagerJoby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, self motivated, detail-oriented shop inventory manager for the Composite Rapid Development team. This role plays a critical part in enabling rapid prototyping, testing, and development activities by ensuring materials, tools, and consumables are always available, inventoried, organized, and maintained. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced R&D shop environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to organization, and operational excellence.Responsibilities:Implement, manage and maintain material, consumable, tool, and equipment inventory on a daily basis for CRD shop operations with up to date accurate inventory tracking.Order consumables, materials, tools, equipment at lowest cost, manage supplier relationships, inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.Organize storage areas, manage stock rotation, and analyze turnoverGenerate data from inventory tracking to use in forecasting inventory needs based on shop size and project.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and storage environmentComply with all safety, quality, and operational policiesRequired:Previous experience with inventory management; retail, warehouse, and or manufacturingHS Diploma or GED EquivalentExperience with inventory management software, Microsoft OfficeAbility to analyze data to optimize stock levels and identify discrepanciesStrong organizational and logistics skills to manage stockroom layout and movementEffective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, technicians, and managementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced shop environmentAbility to operate a forklift (certification preferred or ability to obtain)Valid driver's license with the ability to transport materials between facilitiesAbility to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs aided or unaided throughout the dayDesired:Experience supporting R&D, aerospace, aviation, or advanced manufacturing work environmentsComposite material and consumable knowledgeAbrasives, cutting, grinding, painting, drilling, fastening, bonding knowledge pertaining to hardware and consumablesAdditional Information:The target base pay for this position is $97,400 - $159,000/yr.
