Summary
The Shop Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within the facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role owns workforce supervision, workflow planning, CNC operations, inventory control, and production scheduling while aligning closely with Project Management to meet delivery commitments.
The Shop Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within the facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role owns workforce supervision, workflow planning, CNC operations, inventory control, and production scheduling while aligning closely with Project Management to meet delivery commitments.
Responsibilities
-Lead daily shop operations, including CNC machining, assembly, finishing, and packaging
-Plan and sequence work based on project priority and delivery deadlines
-Coordinate closely with Customer Success / Project Delivery Manager
-Implement continuous improvement in layout, flow, and productivity
-Supervise & develop shop personnel (bilingual English/Spanish)
-Manage material staging, inventory levels, and job readiness
-Maintain shop safety standards and equipment upkeep
-Manage shop operational budget and cost controls
-Enforce quality standards and rework reduction
-Track labor hours, capacity, and throughput
Requirements
-Bilingual English/Spanish communication
-Inventory and materials management experience
-Experience supervising woodworking production staff
-5+ years in quality control and manufacturing experience
-Strong knowledge of CNC operations and woodworking processes (with finishing)
