Truck Shop Mechanic / Fabricator Location: Broadway Job Type: Full-Time, M-F, 8:00AM-4:30PM We are seeking an experienced Truck Shop Mechanic/Fabricator to join our team. This position involves truck and trailer frame repair, hydraulic system installation and repair, and fabrication of custom components. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, capable of welding steel, stainless steel and aluminum, safety-focused, and comfortable working on large truck bodies and heavy equipment. Follows supervisor directions and instructions at all times. Responsibilities: Disassemble and reassemble truck and trailer bodies to repair, shorten, or lengthen frames Fabricate and install replacement or modified components Weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in various positions Install truck beds, spreader bodies, commodity bodies, and auxiliary equipment Connect truck control and power systems to auxiliary bodies Diagnose, repair, and install hydraulic systems (PTOs, pumps, motors, hoses, fittings) Identify and size hydraulic fittings accurately Repair and restore feed bodies and auger conveyor systems Install, repair, and replace tarp systems Operate forklifts, hoists, yard tractors, and metal fabrication equipment safely Qualifications: Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skill Experience with truck/trailer frame repair and fabrication Must have prior experience of welding Proficient welding skills (steel, stainless, aluminum) Hydraulic system experience required Ability to lift heavy components and work in various welding positions Commitment to safety and following instruction Must be able to lift 60 pounds unassisted and work from multiple positions Pay rate based upon experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
