Shop SupervisorThe Shop Supervisor is a working leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the farm shop. This position ensures that all equipment is maintained to CSS Farms' standards, repair schedules are met, and the shop team operates safely and efficiently. You will bridge the gap between high-level equipment strategy and hands-on maintenance execution.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train Shop Workers. Coordinate daily work assignments to ensure maximum uptime for tractors, trucks, and specialized potato/irrigation equipment.Workflow Management: Prioritize repair orders and preventative maintenance schedules, especially during high-pressure planting and harvest seasons.Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs and maintenance logs to ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.Inventory & Purchasing: Manage the procurement of parts, tools, and shop supplies. Maintain relationships with external vendors and manage the shop budget.Technical Oversight: Act as the lead expert for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, including GPS and precision ag technology integrations.Safety Compliance: Enforce the use of PPE and safety around equipment.
