Job Description:
To operate the single face section of the corrugator machine in such manner as to produce high quality level corrugated material. This is a 2nd shift position.
Primary Duties
Check basis weight and width of roll stock before placing it on roll stands
Set glue dams for running correct width
Set correct adjustment on pressure roll and corrugating rolls
Check glue pattern on roll changes and adjust as needed
Continually maintains web lineup
Ensure correct glue level for proper pickup to applicator roll
Replace any worn or bent fingers as needed (cleans up prongs, auto guides, etc.)
Clean out slots (corrugator rolls and glue rolls) as needed
Set up next flute change, well in advance, if possible
When changing flutes has new web on bridge ready to thread up
Assist Double Backer Operator as needed to avoid down-time
Continually monitors quality of check board coming from single facer
Check all machinery for mechanical soundness and make sure all safety features are in good working condition and report all unsafe conditions to supervisor
Prepares roll stock for running with as little waste as possible
Set roll stock in machine to ensure a good lineup after splice
In charge of peeling rolls (minimum peel) with approved tool only
Ensure all rolls are put in proper location by material grade
Administration of the different waste categories
Ensure all data reporting is accurate
Responsible for reporting temperature and viscosity daily
Assure perfect attendance and punctuality
Participate in month-end inventory
Maintain at all times the machine at expected housekeeping standards
Follow all safety rules and procedures
Participates in any extra curriculum (training & development) activity deemed necessary by management
Assists other departments and/or areas when requested by management/supervisor
Troubleshoot when operating issue on machine occur
Train other colleagues to pass on knowledge & expertise (which will include cross training as a Dry End Operator)
Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.

Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Up to two (2) years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude)
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes
Good mathematical skills
- Ability to read tape measure, understand basic algebra, able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, volume etc. (add and subtract numbers, multiply and divide by 10's and 100's...)
Ability to define problems, collect data/facts (observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources) and draw reasonable conclusions
Ability to deal with various situations
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and deliver to tight production deadlines
Able to interpret a variety of instructions
Able to provide and communicate sound information to management/supervisors
