Jobcon Logo Job Description :

At PJLN, we don’t just move boxes; we build the infrastructure that keeps global commerce moving. Our New Jersey campus is the flagship "Source Code" for the entire network. We are looking for a Site Manager who is a “Leader of Leaders"— someone who treats 520,000 sq. ft. of complex, multi-temp space like their own business. We don't want a "desk manager"; we want a systems architect who can sustain a high-performance culture, harden our "Mirror and Muscle" protocols, and aggressively develop the next generation of Operations Managers. You are the guardian of the NJ standard, ensuring that our GA and TX sites have a perfect blueprint to follow.Impact & Responsibilities Site Leadership & The 6-Point Baseline·      Total Campus Ownership: Final accountability for a 445k sq. ft. flagship and a 76k sq. ft. satellite. You own the P&L, the 100-person union workforce, and the "Six-Point Baseline" (Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality, Efficiency, and Org Health).·      The "Mirror & Muscle" Protocol: You enforce the structural separation between Inventory Control (The Mirror) and Operations (The Muscle). You ensure that every IC fact-finding report results in a documented operational "repair" (retraining/coaching). We don't blame the mirror for the reflection; we use it to get better.Execution & Technical Complexity·      Flow & Throughput Mastery: Own the execution of a high-volume, two-shift operation. Direct the synchronization of inbound receipt and putaway cycles with outbound fulfillment across 88 dock doors to ensure zero-bottleneck flow.·      Complex Fulfillment Precision: Direct a diverse fulfillment strategy including high-density pallet movements, intensive loose-case picking, and intricate replenishment cycles. You are responsible for maintaining flow integrity amidst constant 3PL volatility·      SQF & Regulatory Authority: Maintain "Superior" certified standards in both Ambient and Temp-Controlled sections. You ensure the facility is perpetually audit-ready, 24/7.·      VAS Strategy: Direct a high-variability Value-Added Services department, utilizing flexible temp labor to hit kitting and rework goals without bleeding core site margins.KPI Adherence & Governance·      External (Customer) KPIs: Own the relationship with 40+ diverse customers by delivering 99%+ OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy, and lead-time fidelity. You are the operational partner our Sales team relies on to keep promises.·      Internal (Operational) KPIs: You are judged on the "invisible" metrics: Labor Efficiency Ratios, Cost-to-Serve, P&L Accuracy, and Site Health (Performance and Behavior). If the customer is happy but the internal pillars are crumbling, the system is failing.Leadership Architecture & Talent Bench·      Architecting the "Bench": Your primary product is leadership. You are responsible for the professional maturation of your 2 OMs and 1 AOM. You don't do their jobs; you coach their thinking so they can eventually do yours.·      The Leadership Void: You manage through "Accountability Layers." You provide the strategic guardrails, allowing your team to own the floor while you focus on the 2nd-party audit results and long-range strategy.·      The Sustainability Mandate: We build systems, not martyrs. Your success is measured by the facility’s ability to maintain "Mirror & Muscle" integrity when you aren't there. You are an architect of Sustainable Intensity, ensuring that high-performance standards are achieved through process discipline and "Bench" strength, not 80-hour work weeksWhat You Need to Succeed·      The Track Record: 10+ years in warehouse leadership; 5+ years in a senior role overseeing large-scale, multi-client 3PL and VAS operations.·      Labor Relations & Contract Fidelity: Proven mastery in leading unionized workforces through operational transformations. You are an expert in Grievance Resolution and Contract Administration, capable of navigating the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) with precision to drive productivity while maintaining a culture of mutual respect and high-accountability "Peer-to-Peer" standards.·      Data-Driven Insights: Expert WMS fluency and the ability to translate "chaos" into headcount specificity and space-flow strategy.·      Cultural Alignment: Deep commitment to the Lencioni "Five Dysfunctions" model—prioritizing vulnerability-based trust and peer-to-peer accountability. Why Join PJLN?We offer a top-tier executive compensation package, including full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), a 401(k) with company match, and a significant incentive plan based on site performance and profitability. At PJLN, you have the opportunity to build and lead a site with true ownership and advancement potential.PJLN: We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
