We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Safety and Health Manager to oversee transportation operations within an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, experience working in an industrial or military environment, and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices.

• Coordinate and conduct safety training, inspections, and drills to ensure workforce preparedness and adherence to safety protocols.

• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Collaborate with site management to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate hazards and ensure safe work environments.

• Monitor and maintain safety-related records and documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), training records, and inspection reports.

• Serve as a liaison between the site and regulatory agencies, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards.

• Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in the safety and health field, implementing new practices and technologies as appropriate to enhance safety performance.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Safety Professional or possess a Safety and Health Degree.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within an industrial or military environment, with a focus on transportation operations.

• Must have the ability to obtain security clearance upon hire.

• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and DOT requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate incidents and implement effective corrective actions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with site management, employees, and regulatory agencies.
