Job Title: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Evanston, IL

Position Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced procedural environment. This role is responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, and coordinating all aspects of patient care through the pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases. The RN collaborates closely with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice standards.

• Implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

• Monitor, document, and effectively communicate changes in patient condition.

• Act as the primary coordinator among interdisciplinary teams to ensure well-coordinated and efficient patient care.

• Receive, interpret, and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly.

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology procedures, and related diagnostic tests.

• Provide intra-procedure support, including medication administration, patient monitoring, and emergency response.

• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions of care.

• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety protocols, and quality performance standards.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

• BLS Provider certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).

Experience:

• Required: 1 2 years of cumulative relevant job experience.

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.

• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with required professional licensure.

Shift:

• Monday Friday, 07:00 AM 3:30 PM

Scheduling / Call Requirements:

• On-call rotation: Every 3rd weekend

• Minimum 16 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
